In 2004, Schumacher published "Sun, Sin & Suburbia: An Essential History of Modern Las Vegas"(Stephens Press) His second book, "Howard Hughes: Politics, Paranoia & Palace Intrigue", is now available at Gamblers Book Shop. Schumacher writes a weekly column for the Las Vegas Review-Journal. He has been a reporter, editor and columnist for Las Vegas newspapers for 20 years. He is the Review-Journal's director of community publications, overseeing an array of weekly publications, including the View Neighborhood Newspapers, CityLife, El Tiempo and the Pahrump Valley Times.
